Joel Merriman, M.S. 

Wildlife Biologist

Joel has seven years of professional experience in wildlife survey, ecology, and management, and

three years of professional experience in wetland studies.  He has worked on projects involving survey and management of raptors, seabirds, shorebirds, waterfowl, passerine birds,

ungulates, small mammals, and amphibians. 

He has co-authored two peer-reviewed publications, and has extensive experience

dealing with wildlife damage management, including bird aircraft strike hazard (BASH). 

At Raedeke Associates, Joel has managed

projects including wildlife habitat assessments, spotted owl and marbled murrelet surveys,

wetland reconnaissance and delineations, and wetland mitigation design and monitoring.  He

has also taken a lead role in preparation of bald eagle management plans, purple martin and pileated woodpecker management plans, and biological evaluations.
